Job summary

Sunrise Soya Foods in Delta, BC is seeking a diligent janitor to maintain clean, organized, and sanitized offices, warehouse, and production areas. The role requires energy, motivation, attention to detail, and flexibility for occasional non-routine cleaning and special projects.

Responsibilities include cleaning and sanitizing facilities, reporting supply needs, using PPE, cleaning floors, windows, bathrooms, waste removal, and keeping a cleaning chart.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Basic English language skills.
• Some experience in a food manufacturing plant is an asset.
• Able and willing to work overtime.
• Physically capable of lifting and moving objects up to 30 pounds.

Responsibilities

• Clean and sanitize offices, plant, warehouse, and production-related tools, carts, buckets and baskets.
• Report janitorial equipment and supply needs to Supervisor/Manager.
• Ensure proper use of required personal protective equipment.
• Clean floors by sweeping, mopping, scrubbing, or vacuuming.
• Clean windows and mirrors.
• Clean and supply restrooms.
• Remove waste and empty trash.
• Maintain a cleaning chart indicating areas cleaned and inspected.
• Replenish cleaning and maintenance supplies.
• Organize janitorial storage areas.
• Notify about unsafe conditions or repairs or maintenance.
• Follow all health and safety regulations.

Position Summary

We are looking for a Janitor to join our Delta team. The ideal candidate must be energetic, highly motivated, detail-oriented, flexible and willing to work on non-routine cleaning and special projects as needed. The position would be responsible for ensuring that various designated areas of offices, warehouse and production are well-kept, tidy, organized and highly sanitized.

• Reports janitorial equipment and supply needs and concerns to Supervisor/Manager
• Ensure proper use of required personal protective equipment at all times
• Clean building floors by sweeping, mopping, scrubbing, or vacuuming them
• Clean windows and mirrors
• Clean and supply restrooms
• Remove waste and empty trash
• Maintain a cleaning chart indicating areas that were cleaned and inspected
• Replenish cleaning and maintenance supplies
• Organize janitorial storage areas

EDUCATION AND QUALIFICATION

• Physically capable of lifting and moving objects up to 30 pounds as necessary.

Schedule:

• 8.5-hour workday - 15 min (paid) coffee break and 30 min (unpaid meal break)
• Shift: Tuesday - Saturday (7:30 AM - 4:00 PM)
