Our Jane and Finch team has served in the community for over twenty years and is hiring an Outreach Worker to support existing programming and explore the development of new programs.

We do this through grassroots programming, a focus on wholistic transformation, and a network of local partnerships. This includes after-school programs, sports programs, summer camps, and more.

The Jane-Finch Outreach Worker will work alongside existing programs and explore new and creative ways to engage youth in the community. Our desire is to connect with youth through Christ-centered discipleship relationships to give hope, inspire vision, and build the next generation of leaders to transform their community.
Responsibilities: 
  • Assist with leading weekly programming for children, youth, and young adults
  • Build mentoring relationships with local youth
  • Assist with recruitment and management of volunteers
  • Assist with any ongoing administrative tasks including attendance, registration forms, lesson preparation, program budgeting, and ministry updates
  • Opportunity to pioneer new future ministry initiatives (e.g. new ideas to serve youth down the road)
Requirements:
  • Pursue a vital spiritual life and growing relationship with God as a devoted follower of Jesus Christ
  • Be a faithful and contributing member of a local church
  • A deep commitment to a holistic approach to proclaiming the good news of Jesus Christ and God’s Kingdom
  • Able to engage youth from an evolving culture
  • 2+ years experience working with youth and/or children
  • Leadership experience is a plus
Position Information
We have opportunities for a part-time or full-time position with this role beginning at 17 hours/week. The salary for this position is determined on a scale based on education and experience, ranging from $55,960 to $61,470 for a full time salary (44 hours/week), and is funded 100% on a missionary basis, requiring the gathering of a personal support team.
