Job Title: IT Technician
Location: Penticton, British Columbia
Position: Type: Full-Time, Salaried

Job Description:
We are seeking a skilled and motivated IT Technician to join our team. This is a hybrid (work from home/in office) position with some onsite requirements. The ideal candidate will have a strong technical background, excellent problem-solving skills, and the ability to work independently.
Responsibilities:
Primary:
  • Provide technical support to end-users via remote tools and onsite visits (helpdesk/triage).
  • Troubleshoot and resolve hardware, software, and network issues.
  • Install, configure, and maintain computer systems and peripherals.
  • Install, configure, manage and support IT infrastructure, including servers, networks, security and backups.
  • Perform regular system updates, backups checks, and test restores.
  • Document technical procedures and solutions.
Secondary:
  • Assist in the development and implementation of IT policies and procedures.
  • Participate in IT projects and initiatives (client facing and internal).
  • Monitor and maintain personal IT inventory
  • Collaborate with other IT team members to improve system performance and reliability.
  • Provide training to clients and staff on IT systems and software as required.
Qualifications:
Education/Experience:
  • Education: Certificate or Degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field.
  • Experience: Minimum of 2 years of experience in Managed IT Support or a similar role.
Technical Skills:
  • Proficiency in Windows operating systems.
  • Strong knowledge of Microsoft 365, including SharePoint, Intune, and other related services.
  • Experience with network administration and troubleshooting (LAN/WAN, VPN, firewalls).
  • Knowledge of cloud services (e.g., 365, AWS, Azure, Google Cloud).
  • Familiarity with virtualization technologies (e.g., VMware, Hyper-V).
  • Understanding of cybersecurity principles and best practices.
  • Experience with IT service management (PSA and RMM) tools (e.g., Autotask, Datto, or similar).
Soft Skills:
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong ability to follow instructions and existing processes.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills.
