About The Role
The IT Technician, level I, provides first-level support to users for tools managed by the IT department, including computers, phones, software, and laptops. You will respond to and track requests via an automated Helpdesk System.

What You'll Do Here

  • Provide accurate solutions to user problems.
  • Develop support methods and communication skills through coaching feedback.
  • Assist in resolving issues across company sites to ensure timely knowledge sharing and user satisfaction.
  • Respond to questions via phone and email promptly.
  • Participate in projects to improve help desk services.
  • Log calls, document issues, and solutions in the Helpdesk system.
  • Identify recurrent problems and assist users in resolving them.
  • Troubleshoot account, email, and profile issues.
  • Prepare and load computers with software and OS for new employees.
  • Suggest hardware and software upgrades.
  • Train users on hardware and software use.

What You'll Need To Succeed

  • Professional or College degree in an IT-related field or relevant experience.
  • Bilingual in French and English.
  • Technical skills with the ability to learn quickly.
  • Excellent customer service and organizational skills.
  • Strong diagnostic and problem-solving abilities.
  • Ability to prioritize tasks effectively.
  • Ability to work independently and in a team.
  • Basic to intermediate knowledge of Windows 10, Cisco phones, hardware, mobile devices, and relevant software and protocols.

Fluency in English is essential due to communication needs across Canada and with English-speaking clients.
