Accounting at Brex

The Accounting team at Brex ensures accurate financial reporting and serves as beta testers and power users of Brex’s financial products, providing analysis and feedback prior to product releases. We are responsible for maintaining accurate books and records and are passionate about automation, working closely with Engineering to implement technological improvements.

What You’ll Do

This role offers a unique opportunity to directly impact and optimize our HR processes through the Workday platform, becoming a key driver of our technology roadmap. In partnership with the People team, you'll be responsible for developing and implementing HR technology solutions, ensuring clear requirements, technical accuracy, and security compliance. You will work on impactful global initiatives as we scale our people and operations.

Where you’ll work

This role is based in our Vancouver office. You must be willing to work in the office at least 2 days per week on Wednesday and Thursday. Remote work is permitted up to 4 weeks per year.

Responsibilities

  • Administer and optimize Workday, managing system releases, integrations, and configurations to maximize performance and user experience.
  • Design and deliver insightful Workday reports and dashboards, leveraging advanced calculations for data-driven decision-making.
  • Partner with People Operations to translate business needs into system enhancements and streamlined processes.
  • Manage the full project lifecycle from requirements gathering to deployment, ensuring successful delivery.
  • Identify opportunities for improvement and stay updated on HRIS trends to leverage the latest technologies.

Requirements

  • 3+ years of Workday experience.
  • Proficiency in Workday Core HCM configuration, with experience in at least one additional module (Benefits, Absence Management, Payroll, etc.).
  • Ability to manage and manipulate data within Workday, including experience with EIBs, calculated fields, and advanced reports.
  • Experience troubleshooting integrations and resolving configuration issues.
  • Strong analytical skills, project management experience, and proficiency in Excel.
  • Experience leading projects through the systems development life-cycle.
  • Initiative and a desire for continuous learning and innovation.

Bonus points

  • Workday certification(s).
  • Experience with Workday Advanced Compensation or Talent Management.
  • Experience in a global organization.
  • Knowledge of SOX and internal IT controls.
  • Experience with Workday integration tools.
  • Experience administering other HR systems like Lattice, CultureAmp, Greenhouse.

Compensation

Salary range: $116,000 - $145,000, depending on location, skills, experience, and other factors. Equity and other benefits may be included as part of the total package.
