Buchanan Technologies is seeking an experienced IT Technical Delivery Lead / IT Technical Project Coordinator in Brampton, ON for a 12-month contract. The role focuses on coordinating engineers, architects, analysts, cybersecurity staff, infrastructure teams, and vendors to plan, track, and deliver IT work.

The ideal candidate will have a strong technical background, deep Agile delivery understanding, and proven ability to manage multiple technical workstreams while maintaining execution

IT Technical Delivery Lead / IT Technical Project Coordinator

Location: Brampton, ON
Contract Duration: 12 months, subject to renewal

Position Overview

Buchanan Technologies is looking for an experienced enterprise Technical Delivery Lead/Coordinator for assignment to our clients.

The ideal person will spend 99% of their time working with engineers, architects, analysts, cybersecurity staff, infrastructure teams, application teams, and vendors, ensuring work is planned, coordinated, tracked, and completed.

Key Requirements

Strong technical background and ability to understand complex IT work.

Able to challenge teams on estimates, dependencies, sequencing, and delivery approaches.

Experience coordinating infrastructure, cloud, cybersecurity, networking, application, and operational initiatives.

Deep understanding of Agile delivery practices and backlog management.

Comfortable working at the task level, not just the milestone level.

Excellent organizational skills with a relentless focus on execution.

Able to identify blockers quickly and drive resolution.

Capable of creating actionable work plans that engineering teams can execute against.

Strong follow-up and accountability skills.

Experience coordinating multiple technical workstreams simultaneously.

Comfortable working in fast-paced environments with changing priorities.

Secondary Responsibilities

We are not looking for someone whose primary value is:

Executive presentations.

Steering committee decks.

PMO governance.

These activities are necessary, but they should represent a very small portion of the role.

What Success Looks Like

Work is broken down into executable tasks.

Risks and dependencies are identified early.

Technical teams remain aligned and accountable.

Deliverables are completed on time.

The resource actively drives execution, rather than simply reporting on it.

The ideal candidate should be comfortable rolling up their sleeves and working directly with technical teams to get work delivered. We need someone who can help coordinate and drive the actual work, not just manage schedules and provide executive updates.
