Job description

Open to working onsite in St-Laurent? Join an organization that plays a critical role in helping clients across a broad range of industries including manufacturing, energy, automotive, and construction. We're seeking an IT System Support Analyst for an onsite contract opportunity. To be considered, you need to be bilingual in French/English.

In this contract role, you will work the ticket queue, answer incoming calls, create and update reports, and handle the shipping and receiving of assets in the region. This role offers the chance to contribute to delivering reliable support and solutions to end-users.

Contract Duration: 6 months +

Required Skills & Experience

  • High School diploma or equivalent; college degree preferred.
  • 2-4 years' experience installing, configuring, and resolving complex PC support issues.
  • Strong customer service skills and good verbal communication skills.
  • Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications.
  • Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills.
  • Previous ticketing system experience is a plus.
  • Strong attention to detail.
  • A+ certification and good written skills.

What You Will Be Doing

Daily Responsibilities

  • Provide first-level support and problem resolution for internal and external customers; be the point of contact for system-related problems.
  • Setup and configure branch and desktop printers.
  • Monitor the wide area network.
  • Provide excellent customer service.
  • Complete time-critical assignments to meet company goals and customer deadlines.
  • Be prepared to be on-call during nights or weekends, or work weekend and night shifts.
  • Enter all work into the ticketing system.
  • Comply with all company policies and procedures.
  • Complete assigned tasks as directed by the System Support Manager.
  • Install and configure replacement PCs and peripherals.
  • Perform physical duties related to PC deployments and repairs (e.g., crawling under desks, packing/unpacking PCs, shipping hardware).
  • Provide level 2 support for PCs, printers, scanners, aircards, and PDA devices.
  • Assist the LAN/Server department with research and evaluation of current and new PC products and technical information.
  • Ensure compliance with company's performance standards and support long-term growth.
  • Recommend products as required, following policies.
