Job summary

ALPA Equipment Ltd. is seeking a skilled IT Technician to join our head office team in Balmoral, NB. You will support over 160 employees across locations by managing tickets, troubleshooting hardware and software, and ensuring smooth network connectivity.

Qualifications

• Post-secondary education in IT, computer systems, networking, or related field.
• Experience in IT support, help desk, or technical support role preferred.
• Fluent in French and English, written and spoken.
• Knowledge of Microsoft 365, SharePoint, Teams, hardware, mobile devices, networking.

Responsibilities

• Manage and respond to IT support tickets and requests.
• Assist employees by phone, email, or in person with technical issues.
• Troubleshoot hardware, software, and connectivity problems.

Position Summary

ALPA Equipment Ltd. is seeking a skilled and customer-focused IT Technician to join our team at our head office in Balmoral, New Brunswick. Working alongside the IT team, you will provide technical support to over 160 employees across multiple locations by managing support requests, troubleshooting hardware and software issues, and resolving network and connectivity problems. Your role will be important in keeping our technology running smoothly, supporting daily operations, and helping the organization continue to grow.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage and respond to IT support tickets and requests.
• Help employees by phone, email, or in person with computer, cell phone, network, and other technical issues.
• Troubleshoot and resolve hardware, software, and connectivity problems.
• Provide support for Microsoft 365, SharePoint, Teams, and other business systems.
• Set up, configure, and maintain computers, mobile devices, user accounts, and other IT equipment.
• Assist employees with software, system access, and general IT questions.
• Keep records of IT issues and solutions.
• Work with the IT team to resolve issues quickly and minimize downtime.
• Assist with general IT maintenance, updates, and equipment setup.
• Provide professional and helpful technical support in both French and English.

Qualifications & Requirements

• Post-secondary education in IT, computer systems, networking, or a related field.
• Previous experience in an IT support, help desk, or technical support role.
• Fluent in both French and English, written and spoken.
• Knowledge of Microsoft 365, SharePoint, Teams, computer hardware, mobile devices, and networking.
• Strong problem-solving skills, teamwork, patience, and a customer-focused attitude.
• Ability to manage multiple support requests, prioritize tasks, and work independently.
• Must be available to work on-site at our head office in Balmoral, NB.
