Job description

STEMCELL is looking for an IT Support Technician to join our team. You will be responsible for supporting end-user IT equipment and cloud-based apps and tools STEMCELL staff uses. This is a varied role, including support of cloud apps and services like Google Workspaces, common end-user IT equipment (Windows, Apple iOS), and a chance to gain hands-on experience with cloud-based tools & platforms like AWS, Intune/Kandji & Cisco Meraki.

To be successful in this role you will need to possess a good understanding of common software and IT equipment, strong independent troubleshooting and task-management skills, and have a passion for delivering consistent customer service.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Triage and provide technical support for requests related to IT end-user equipment & tools
  • Deploy, upgrade, and replace IT equipment, including laptops, desktops and mobile devices
  • Support IT equipment lifecycle tasks, including repair, recommissioning, inventory updates and recycling
  • Conduct routine maintenance on shared IT services like AV equipment, printers and shared workstations
  • Execute employee on-boarding and off-boarding procedures, including account and equipment setup and decommissioning

Knowledge and Qualifications

  • Post Secondary Certificate or Diploma and/or required IT industry certifications
  • Strong organizational and time management skills accompanied by good judgment and problem-solving skills
  • Experience with Microsoft operating systems and deployment/support tools and Mobile Device Management Software
  • Experience supporting web and cloud-based IT systems and applications like Google Workspace or Office 365. Certifications in this field are an asset

The annual base salary for this job ranges from:

$58,100.00 – $78,500.00

STEMCELL determines an individual’s pay within the range based on multiple factors including experience, education, job-related skills, and equity within the team or organization. For jobs that are eligible for sales incentives, the range noted above is inclusive of target incentives; actual incentives are based on individual performance results in accordance with company policy. In addition to base salary, STEMCELL offers a comprehensive total rewards package including health benefits, retirement savings, and more.
