About the Role

The IT Support Specialist will provide comprehensive technical support and assistance to employees, while developing strong relationships. The incumbent will effectively communicate with all levels within the organization and contribute to problem resolution and efficient technology operations.

What You Will Do

  • On a daily basis, provide Level 1 and Level 2 technical support
  • Regularly move and set up computer stations as well as granting network permissions
  • On a daily basis, develop good working relationships with employees to provide them with the technological tools required to be successful in their roles
  • On a daily basis, provide superior customer support and communicate with all levels within the organization
  • On a daily basis, provide prompt application support to users while taking ownership of problem resolution
  • Regularly diagnose problems quickly and correctly
  • Regularly provide remote troubleshooting and diagnosis of network connectivity issues
  • Other duties as assigned when required for this position and work closely with member of the IT team

  • Proficiency in time management, written and verbal communication skills

Requirements

  • Knowledge of Microsoft Windows Operating Systems (Windows 11 Windows Server 2019/2025)
  • Strong knowledge of Networking Concepts and Protocols (e.g., TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VPN…Etc) and a familiarity the Cisco ecosystem
  • Experience with administering Microsoft 365, exchange, and teams with a basic understanding of intune and Entra
  • Experience with Windows Domain, Nutanix and Virtual Server experience an asset
  • Ability to lift and move computer equipment weighing approximately 45lbs on a frequent basis
  • Ability to collaborate and work well in a team environment
  • Ability to perform under pressure and work independently
  • Ability to learn quickly and work with cutting edge technology in the Pharma\Biotech Industry
  • Weekend work and overtime may be required
