Overview

We’re Hiring: IT Specialist

Location: North York, Toronto | Position Type: Full-time, In-Office

Department: Operations | Reports to: Director of Operations

B’nai Brith Canada is the country’s oldest independent Jewish advocacy organization. For over 150 years, we have been championing human rights, supporting our community, and combating antisemitism. We are seeking a dedicated and solutions-oriented IT Specialist to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will be responsible for maintaining and improving the organization’s IT infrastructure and systems, ensuring smooth day-to-day operations, and enhancing our long-term capacity for growth and innovation.

Responsibilities
  • Provide day-to-day technical support to staff across all departments, both onsite and remotely
  • Monitor, maintain, and upgrade IT systems including servers, networks, and endpoints
  • Install, configure, and troubleshoot hardware and software (Windows, Mac, mobile devices)
  • Administer Microsoft 365 environment, including SharePoint, Outlook, Teams, and Entra ID (Azure AD)
  • Ensure robust backup procedures are in place and tested regularly
  • Maintain security best practices, including antivirus, threat detection, and firewall configuration
  • Support and maintain office technology including printers, conferencing tools, and telecoms
  • Provide basic training and documentation for staff on new tools and systems
  • Maintain up-to-date records of IT assets, procedures, and licensing
  • Collaborate across departments to support organizational goals and special projects
  • Support creative teams with troubleshooting Adobe Creative Cloud applications (e.g. Photoshop, Illustrator)
  • Assist with CRM support (DonorPerfect experience is an asset)
Qualifications and Experience
  • Minimum 5 years of professional IT experience in a support or systems administration role
  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, information systems, or a related field (or equivalent experience)
  • Proficiency in Microsoft 365 administration, Windows / Mac environments, and cloud technologies
  • Familiarity with cybersecurity protocols and IT compliance standards
  • Experience with CRM systems preferred (DonorPerfect an asset)
  • Strong problem-solving, communication, and organizational skills
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
  • Comfort supporting users with varying degrees of technical proficiency
  • Experience with AI tools and emerging technologies is a plus
