IT Smart Hands Technician – Technical Support

Job Summary :

The Smart Hands Technician will be responsible for performing a variety of on-site technical tasks, including hardware installations, troubleshooting, and maintenance. This role requires client visits and a hands-on approach to support IT operations, ensuring that systems are running smoothly and efficiently.

Key Responsibilities :

  • Perform hardware installations, upgrades, and decommissioning of IT equipment at client sites.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve hardware, software, and connectivity issues on-site.
  • Assist with server and network hardware maintenance and repairs.
  • Coordinate with remote technical support teams to ensure timely issue resolution.
  • Perform data center and server room management tasks, including cable management and equipment monitoring.
  • Document all work performed, including troubleshooting steps, resolutions, and updates.
  • Follow established procedures for change management and incident response.
  • Provide technical support for end-user hardware, peripherals, and software as needed.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies and industry best practices.

Qualifications :

  • Certifications such as CompTIA A+, Network+, or equivalent.
  • Proven experience as a Smart Hands Technician or similar role in IT support.
  • Strong knowledge of hardware, software, and networking components.

  • Must have own transportation for client visits.

  • Ability to lift and move heavy equipment (up to 50 lbs) and work in confined spaces.
  • High school diploma or equivalent; additional technical education or certification is preferred.
