We are currently seeking a qualified IT Site Manager to join our team.

Location: Malahat/Victoria, BC

Responsibilities

• Manage infrastructure functions including firewalls, network filters, and cloud networks.
• Process assigned tickets in ServiceNow, read architecture diagrams, and construct rules accordingly.
• Implement intrusion prevention policies and manage networking protocols such as OSPF, BGP, VLAN, and TCP/IP.
• Oversee site-to-site and remote-access VPN connectivity, network access control, and authentication mechanisms including multi-factor authentication.
• Manage web access proxy servers, URL filtering, and develop network security policies.
• Contribute to professional development and training plans for the team.
• Work on projects to enhance partnership opportunities and security posture.
• Collaborate with senior engineers to define security requirements and perform proof-of-concept testing for solutions.
• Provide 24/7 on-call support for infrastructure incidents, following escalation procedures.
• Develop and maintain network security policies, standards, and workflows.
• Support end-users by monitoring tickets, troubleshooting hardware/software issues, and supporting desktop/laptop deployment.
• Coordinate with Workplace team and escalate requests as needed.
• Support and troubleshoot VTC and VOL setups.
• Collaborate with engineering teams and external vendors or customers.

Basic Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or related field.
• Significant managerial experience in IT.
• Proficiency with Palo Alto Firewalls and network security policies.
• Certifications such as Palo Alto PCNSA/PCNSE, Cisco CCNA/CCNP Security, Juniper JNCIA-SEC/JNCIS-SEC, or equivalent.
• Advanced knowledge of DNS, FTP, SMTP, TCP/IP, LDAP.
• Proficiency with Windows 10/11 and Microsoft Office.
• Experience with Cisco switches, Cisco AnyConnect VPN, Dell switches, Juniper firewalls.
• Experience with ServiceNow and ITIL processes.
