As we continue to grow, we are looking for a IT Security Specialist L1 - Security, Privacy and Data Governance to join HLB System Solutions team.

About The Role

As an IT Security Specialist L1 - Security, Privacy and Data Governance, in a professional services role, you will be responsible for safeguarding personal information, ensuring compliance with privacy laws, and managing data protection strategies.

Location: Guelph, Ontario.

Schedule: Monday to Friday, 40 hours per week, 8:30 a.m. – 5:00 p.m.

Work Mode: Hybrid

What You Will Do

• Provide technical assistance to the L2 Resource
• Provide technical support & analysis, using appropriate technical tools, to ensure we collect and process the data required to provide the security, privacy, and data governance services (Network scans, Vulnerability Assessments, Phish Testing, File Classification)

What We Are Looking For

• Bachelor’s degree in Cybersecurity, Information Security, Computer Science or a related field.
• 2-4 years of experience in IT security, privacy, compliance, or governance roles.
• A solid IT background with L2 technical support experience with a keen interest in growing their career in security, privacy, and data governance.
• Good communication skills to explain privacy and security concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
