A leading financial services organization in Lévis is looking for an IT Security Officer to oversee information security in the property and casualty insurance segment. The ideal candidate will have at least eight years of relevant experience and strong communication skills in both French and English. You will work closely with various teams and play a crucial role in managing risks and influences across projects and sectors. Competitive salary and excellent benefits are offered.
IT Security Officers are responsible for overseeing information security for a specific IT sector. This position is tied to the Personal and Business Services segment of the property and casualty insurance sector. The ITSO has a direct influence on the division at a technological level. ITSOs are entrusted with a variety of responsibilities including risk analysis, reviewing action plans, contextualizing vulnerabilities, producing information security executive dashboards and monitoring strategic sector initiatives. Throughout their day-to-day operations, they exude a tactical and strategic influence over various sectors as well as future investments in information security. At Desjardins, ITSOs are supported by a range of technical IT security experts who use a matrix approach to improve their own workflows as needed. More specifically, you will be required to :
Work in close collaboration with the chief security officer’s representative, that is to say, business security officers (BSO).
Serve as a sectoral expert for certain cross-sector files to help improve the way technological teams are managed.
Act as a representative of the Desjardins Security Office to influence critical suppliers with their information security service delivery.
Serve as a sectoral expert for large-scale projects with a high level of complexity, including major projects and business acquisitions.
Use your sectoral expertise to proactively influence the technological teams that report to you.

What you bring to the table
Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology or a related field
At least eight years of relevant experience in information security and/or the general tech sector
Please note that other combinations of qualifications and relevant experience may be considered
Experience managing information security risk and managing vulnerabilities
Experience in executive communication and reporting
Recognized security certifications including, CISSP, CISA, CISM, CAMS or any other relevant certification
Proficiency in communicating in written and oral French at an advanced level
Intermediate advanced proficiency of English due to the nature of the duties or work tools or because the position involves interactions with English-speaking partners, members and/or clients
Advanced knowledge of the strategic and pragmatic aspects of implementing an information security program
