Job Description:

Hybrid – 3 days onsite/week – Toronto ON

Responsibilities
  1. Works in partnership with clients, advising them on information technology to meet their business objectives or overcome problems, and works to improve the structure and efficiency of an organization’s I&IT systems.
  2. The I&IT Consultant may provide strategic guidance regarding Information Management & IT technology, IT infrastructures, and the enablement of major business processes through IT enhancements.
  3. Provides subject matter expertise and highly expert technical assistance in their field.
General Skills
  1. Acts as the technical advisor/expert on all aspects of specific deliverables.
  2. Ensures quality assurance/quality control of specific deliverables.
  3. Anticipates and resolves problems to ensure deliverables are completed within budget, with high quality, and meet or exceed expectations.
  4. Develops processes and procedures for implementing deliverables.
  5. Prepares reports and presentations, including options, recommendations, and implementation plans.
  6. Works with clients to define project scope and requirements.
  7. Defines software, hardware, and network requirements.
  8. Analyzes I&IT requirements, providing independent and objective advice on the use of I&IT.
  9. Designs, tests, installs, and monitors new systems, developing solutions and implementing new systems.
  10. Familiar with change-management principles and methodology.
  11. Possesses knowledge and understanding of Information Management principles, concepts, policies, and practices.
Must-haves:
  1. Experience in planning, organizing, and implementing security efforts for large systems.
  2. Knowledge of Cyber-Security principles, including threat modeling, risk assessment, and security controls, along with familiarity with common security practices.
  3. Experience in Application security and network security, including safeguards.
  4. Knowledge of risk management practices and strategies to mitigate risks related to sensitive data.
  5. Experience in Security Architecture and design, considering access controls, encryption, and secure communication channels.
  6. Experience facilitating meetings with various stakeholders.
