JOB DESCRIPTION
Location: Hybrid (Downtown, Toronto)
Duration: 1 year (Possibility for extension or conversion to full-time)
Our client, a leading financial institution in Downtown Toronto, is seeking an IT Security Analyst responsible for day-to-day operations supporting identity and access management. The successful candidate will have the opportunity to work with one of the Top 5 Banks in Canada.
Typical Day in Role:
- Meet established targets for service delivery levels
- Maintain productivity and system integrity; assist team members as required
- Report to management on internal control status with risk remediation recommendations
- Support auditor access and reviews of management’s self-assessment files
- Participate in auditor examinations and control walkthroughs
- Investigate, escalate, and track control deficiencies and security breaches; ensure action items are closed
- Engage in audit reviews and provide counsel on IT controls and processes
- Contribute to improvements in IAMO Logical Access Control processes
- Liaise with support levels 2 and 3; recommend resolutions to management
- Escalate high-priority issues affecting availability or user impact to Senior Management
Must-Have Skills:
- 5+ years’ experience in Identity Access Management, including legacy platforms (MVS/ACF2, Tandem, HP/NON-Stop)
- Recent 3+ years managing database IDs in SQL, Oracle, Sybase, DB2, Postgres, MySQL, Cassandra, MongoDB
- Recent 3+ years managing database environments in AIX, Linux, and Windows OS
- Experience managing ID provisioning in Solaris OS
- Security professional background and knowledge of best practices
- Recent 3+ years’ experience with AS400
- Proficiency in MS Office suite and ability to work independently
Nice-To-Have Skills:
- Experience managing ID provisioning for VIOS, ESXi, HMC
- Technical certifications (e.g., CISSP, Security+)
- Spanish language skills
- Python and shell scripting abilities
- Experience with legacy platforms (MVS/ACF2, Tandem)
- Experience with CyberArk and Centrify privilege access management
Soft Skills:
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple initiatives
- Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
Education:
- Undergraduate Degree in Computer Science or a related technical field
