Job summary

Georgian, a Toronto-based venture capital firm, is seeking an IT & Security Analyst to join the IT and Security Team. You’ll be the first point of contact for tech needs and manage day-to-day IT operations in a Mac-first, cloud/SaaS environment.

The role offers growth across IT and security, with exposure to Okta, Intune, CrowdStrike and more, in a hybrid Toronto schedule three days in person.

Qualifications

• 3-5 years of hands-on experience supporting a Mac-first, cloud/SaaS environment in a high-performing organization.
• Familiarity with tools in our stack or their equivalents.
• A security mindset: you think about identity, access and phishing risk as part of everyday IT work.
• An automation habit: scripting or low-code tooling to eliminate repetitive work, and curiosity about applying AI to IT operations.
• Clear, patient communication and a strong service orientation with non-technical colleagues.

Responsibilities

• Providing friendly, responsive IT support across the firm: onboarding and offboarding, device provisioning and troubleshooting for MacBook and iPhone fleet and a small number of Windows machines.
• Managing our hardware and software inventory, vendor relationships and keeping documentation (runbooks, how-to guides) current and useful.
• Administering our SaaS environment: Google Workspace, Slack, ClickUp, Miro, Zoom and more.
• Supporting in operating our security stack day to day: Okta (SSO/MFA), Intune for MDM, CrowdStrike for endpoint protection, Island as our enterprise browser, Sublime Security for email security, and other solutions as required.
• Supporting in triaging security alerts and suspected phishing, and supporting incident response when things need escalation.
• Supporting compliance activities, internal audits and security questionnaires.
• Helping the team adopt new tools, including AI tools, safely, and using AI and automation to make IT operations faster and better.

About the Role

We’re looking for an IT & Security Analyst to join our IT and Security Team keeping Georgian’s internal IT and security operations running smoothly. You’ll be the first point of contact for the team’s technology needs and the day-to-day operations of our IT stack, working across every function of the firm. It’s a broad, hands-on role in a modern, Mac-first, SaaS and AI-forward environment: great for someone who wants to grow across both IT and security.

Work Location
