Federated Co-operatives Limited (FCL) is hiring an IT Quality Assurance Analyst on a permanent basis in our innovation team.

This position is a hybrid opportunity and is based in Saskatoon.

Looking for an exciting opportunity to work on complex IT projects and help drive innovation? Our company is seeking an experienced and motivated IT Quality Assurance Analyst to join our team and play a vital role in ensuring our cutting-edge software meets the highest standards of quality and performance.

What you’ll do:

  1. Develop and review QA Plan & Strategy for small to medium-sized projects, collaborate with the IT Business Analysts on functional requirements traceability matrix, identify QA scope and estimations for the project, and execute approved test cases and scenarios through rigorous testing efforts.
  2. Prepare and review test plans and construct test cases, test scenarios and test scripts, and work with senior QA analysts or vendor QA resources when required to contribute to all QA gate reports and recommendations, and review QA deliverables from vendor QA analysts.
  3. Perform system administration and configuration/custom scripting of QA test management tools, monitor various projects to ensure continuous improvement of the QA framework and foundational work, manage test environment and data to support and execute testing, and implement and review project QA processes, standards, and tools.

Who you are:

You are looking for a career in Information Technology and:

  1. Have a bachelor’s degree in computer science or a related field and a minimum of 3-6 years of relevant experience in IT Quality Assurance/Testing programs and teams, including experience in managing QA in transformational projects and using common Defect Tracking Tools.
  2. Have strong communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills, as well as knowledge of database, basic scripting, and integration testing. Exposure to performance or functional automation testing is preferred.
  3. Demonstrate honesty, trustworthiness, results orientation, and a collaborative approach to working in a matrix environment. Preference will be given to those with working system administration knowledge of ALM, vendor managed QA services, ERP system knowledge, and retail domain expertise.
