Job description

  • Pay Rate: $82-$87/hour, Depending on experience
  • Contract Length: 12 months
  • Location: Edmonton, AB T5J 0H3
  • Work Type: Hybrid – In-Office (Mon, Tue & Thu) | Remote (Wed & Fri)

Raise is currently hiring an IT Project Manager III on behalf of our client. They’re expanding their team to meet growing needs, making this a unique opportunity to work with an industry leader.

Note: The primary pay rate is based on T4 classification; however, we will also consider applications from candidates interested in an INC classification, where applicable.

Overview

  • The primary responsibility is to manage technical projects up to $1MM, enhancing and integrating Enbridge’s control and SCADA systems.
  • This role involves developing technical solutions with key stakeholders and ensuring best practice change management procedures are followed during system modifications or deployments.

Responsibilities

  • Manages multiple technical projects up to $1MM, ensuring maximum value for stakeholders by proactively handling scope, cost, schedule, and risk.
  • Supports liquid pipelines project teams, working with SCADA integrators and designers on SCADA design and commissioning.
  • Executes projects following PCSLD PMO standards, using PMBOK Waterfall and Agile methods as needed.
  • Understands SCADA processes, best practices, standards, and control procedures.
  • Balances priorities, constraints, and objectives across multiple projects.
  • Provides clear project mandates with documentation, scheduling, budgeting, and analysis.
  • Implements change management processes to ensure seamless deployment without disrupting critical systems.
  • Develops business cases for new projects and initiatives.
  • Applies senior-level project knowledge and leadership to facilitate effective execution.
  • Continuously evaluates internal processes for efficiency and proposes improvements.
  • Prepares status reports and presents to senior management and stakeholders.
  • Resolves project concerns, escalating as needed.
  • Reviews and approves project deliverables.
  • Initiates and supports process improvement strategies within the PCSLD department.
  • Enforces project processes and standards, including scheduling, reporting, financials, QC, QA, and compliance norms.

Qualifications

  • Completion of an undergraduate degree in Engineering or Computer Science from a recognized post- secondary institution
    • An equivalent combination of education and experience, such as with a Registered Engineering Technologist or similar accreditation may be accepted
  • Eligible to register as a P. Eng. in the Province of Alberta is an asset
  • Project Management Professional (PMP) is an asset.
  • Experience in managing OASyS projects is an asset
  • 5 - 10 years of progressive project management experience, depending on technical education, accreditations and competency development.
  • Demonstrated technical competence in at least one of the engineering disciplines, with the ability to overview and/or practice in other disciplines.
  • Excellent oral and written communications skills.
  • Well-developed problem solving, decision-making, organization, planning and leadership skills.
  • A collaborative, team and service-oriented work style.
  • Motivated self-starter that works well independently and in fast paced team environments.
  • Committed to continuous technical learning and personal development.
