Job Description

Manage all aspects of a typical customized software implementation project including:

  • Managing project scope, budget, deliverables, and day-to-day operations;
  • Creating a project charter;
  • Integrated project planning;
  • Resource planning;
  • Change management;
  • Issues prioritization;
  • Risk analysis and management;
  • Quality assurance;
  • Ensuring timelines are met;
  • Updating project documentation;
  • Collaboration and communication with the team, internal stakeholders, external suppliers, and stakeholders;
  • Status reporting to the Executive Sponsor and the Information Services Steering Committee (ISSC).

Responsibilities

  • Conduct regular project team meetings to review status, monitor progress, identify issues, and implement mitigation plans;
  • Prepare regular project status reports and background materials for needs assessment and solutions;
  • Provide leadership and guidance to the project team;
  • Assist with change management and communication strategies for smooth implementation;
  • Ensure a smooth transition from the existing CAMS system to the new system (CUBE), including data migration accuracy.

Skill Set & Experience

  • Minimum years of project management experience with a background in IT systems development;
  • Experience with Microsoft Dynamics CRM, Microsoft Power Platform, and related technologies;
  • Experience managing IT software development and implementation projects, preferably developing new software based on Microsoft Dynamics / Power Platform and utilizing off-the-shelf components or accelerators.

Additional Requirements

  • Education Certifications: PMP certification preferred;
  • Documentation: References required for submission;
  • Work Hours: Must work physically at the CFI offices at Metcalfe St, Ottawa, following the hybrid work policy (minimum days per week);
  • Work authorization: Required;
  • Relocation: Accepted;
  • Remote work: Not available;
  • Additional notes: Canadian opportunity, preference for Canadian personnel with government experience.
