Job summary

A leading technology firm in Markham is seeking an IT Project Manager to oversee software and IT infrastructure projects. The ideal candidate should have at least 2 years of experience and strong communication skills. A Bachelor’s degree in a related field and knowledge of Agile or Waterfall methodologies are preferred.

Job Description :

We are looking for an IT Project Manager with at least 2 years of experience managing software or IT infrastructure projects. The ideal candidate has strong communication skills, a solid understanding of the software development life cycle (SDLC), and the ability to manage multiple stakeholders and timelines.

Responsibilities :

• Plan, execute, and deliver IT projects on time, within scope and budget
• Coordinate internal resources and third parties / vendors for flawless execution
• Develop detailed project plans, track progress, and adjust as needed
• Manage stakeholder expectations and provide regular project updates
• Ensure resource availability and allocation
• Identify potential risks and develop mitigation plans
• Work with cross-functional teams including developers, QA, product managers, and clients

Requirements :

• Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field
• Minimum 2 years of experience as an IT Project Manager or in a similar role
• Proven ability to manage software development or IT implementation projects
• Strong understanding of Agile and / or Waterfall methodologies
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• PMP, PRINCE2, or Scrum Master certification is a plus
