Job Description Alteo is looking for an IT Operator / Unix Admin for a permanent position based in Montreal.

Your main role will be to ensure the smooth and controlled processing of payment activities in production, while ensuring compliance with processes and regulations.

Responsibilities:

  • Ensure that production processes run smoothly to guarantee service availability and reliability.
    • Monitor processes in the production environment and ensure that they run smoothly.
    • Ensure daily control of operations (e.g. monitoring of machines, programs/jobs....)
    • Batch monitoring
    • Supervise production and draw up end-of-day processing reports
    • Participate in automation scripting and the creation of processing chains
  • Manage incidents to ensure their proper resolution
    • Ensure incident analysis and intervention (Level 1) in compliance with procedures and checklists
    • Provide support (Level 1) for end-of-day processing operations
    • Call on teams as needed for infrastructure/technical incidents
  • Report on incident management to ensure that teams are kept informed.
    • Process service requests in the JIRA tool.
    • Participate in the preparation of payment reports for teams and customers
  • Contribute to the development of colleagues' skills in order to improve collective performance.
    • Provide guidance, support and assistance to team members

Profile:
  • AEC/DEC in IT or equivalent
  • 2-5 years' experience in a similar role
  • Familiarity with the electronic payment industry (an important asset)
