We are currently looking for an IT Manager in our Calgary location. This position requires daily attendance at the Calgary office.

Reporting to the President, the IT Manager leads the company’s IT strategy, ensuring the secure and efficient operation of all technology systems. The IT Manager plays a critical role in ensuring the company’s technological landscape is secure, efficient, and future-ready while supporting strategic business initiatives and innovation.
In this role your duties will include and are not limited to:
Management And Leadership
- Hire, develop, and manage IT staff, contractors, and outsourced service providers.
- Develop and implement IT policies, procedures, and best practices.
- Work closely with all departments to identify and address technology needs.
- Develop and manage the IT budget, ensuring cost-effective solutions aligned with industry norms.
- Present IT strategies, risks, and benefits to senior leadership.
- Lead IT-related compliance initiatives, including cybersecurity measures and regulatory requirements.
Technical Services And Infrastructure
- Oversee IT infrastructure, including local/wide area networks, databases, desktop support, backup and recovery, and disaster planning.
- Ensure IT systems are scalable, secure, and meet business continuity needs.
- Work with operations to assess and plan desktop and data storage requirements.
- Develop and maintain an IT systems roadmap to support business growth.
- Maintain trusted relationships with key vendors and service providers.
Business and Strategic Support:
- Work collaboratively with executive leadership to align IT with business goals.
- Oversee software and systems development efforts to ensure the delivery of efficient, scalable, and effective solutions that meet organizational needs.
- Provide IT support for projects and business initiatives, ensuring seamless technology integration.
- Monitor cybersecurity trends and ensure compliance with data privacy regulations.

What You Offer
- Degree, diploma or recognized industry certification(s) in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- Minimum of 10 years of experience in IT, including at least 3 years of management experience overseeing IT operations.
- Experience in IT budgeting, vendor management, and project execution.
- Strong knowledge of cybersecurity policies, compliance, and risk management.
- Experience with software development lifecycles (SDLC) and IT service frameworks.
- Familiarity with cloud-based solutions, including SaaS, cloud computing, and hybrid environments, as well as integrating cloud and on-premises systems.
- Familiarity of emerging technologies, including AI, and their potential business impacts.
