About the Role:

As the IT Information Management Advisor, you will manage one or more operational Information Management (IM) projects, serving as the first point of contact for our client’s business units. You will confidently advise and educate teams on how to leverage the full capabilities of IM solutions in their operational workflows.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Educate individuals and teams on IM compliance requirements to ensure adherence to standards and regulations.
  • Collaborate with internal and external developers to successfully deliver tailored Information Management solutions.
  • Evaluate market-standard solutions against in-house developed and legacy systems, providing consultation to the business as needed.
  • Design fit-for-purpose IM solutions while taking responsibility for specific delivery elements.
  • Ensure compliance with IM standards, data privacy laws, and related regulations while coaching others in the organization.
  • Identify and implement opportunities that deliver value through Information Management solutions, enhancing business strategy and KPIs.
  • Work under broad guidance and supervision to ensure business information requirements align with operational processes.
Key Characteristics:
  • Identify and document Information & Data (I&D) business needs, proposing effective solutions to address challenges.
  • Analyze, design, develop, and maintain comprehensive I&D life-cycle processes that integrate seamlessly with business operations and IT architecture.
  • Monitor and propose initiatives to improve I&D health and operational excellence in collaboration with Data Management teams.
Required Skills:
  • 5+ years of experience in an IM or related role.
  • Expertise in Metadata Concepts and structuring of IM client taxonomies.
  • Strong knowledge of IM policies and processes, including Record Management.
  • Familiarity with IM & Technical Data Frameworks and data health, maturity, and compliance standards.
  • Proficiency with tools such as O365, Assai, and Azure.
  • Practical experience with workflow development and management.
  • Industry experience in Oil & Gas is preferred.
  • Familiarity with working with unstructured data sets; CIP certification is a plus.
  • Experience in AGILE and KANBAN methodologies, with a focus on continuous improvement to support operational excellence.
  • Ability to work onsite 40 hrs per week in Calgary, AB
  • Must be legally entitled to work in Canada (Canadian citizenship, permanent residency, or valid work permit).
