  • Position Title: IT Incident Management Subject Matter Expert (SME) – Advisory Role (Consultant or part time 1 year mandate)
  • Location: Remote (Canada based)
  • Contract duration: 1 year (with potential downtime during project phases)
  • Commitment: 8 hours per week, flexible schedule (some weeks more, some weeks less)
  • Rate: Up to $100 hrs
  • Security clearance: Federal enhanced reliability (or eligibility to obtain – Canadian Citizenship and 5+ years residency required)

About The Role

Our client currently is seeking for an IT Incident Management SME to join his team in support of an ongoing IT Incident Management audit project. This is an advisory-focused role providing expert guidance, ensuring ITIL alignment, and sharing best practices with our client team.

What You Will Do

  • Review and analyze existing IT Incident Management documentation and processes
  • Participate in key project and client meetings to provide strategic advice and expert recommendations
  • Assess current practices for ITIL compliance and identify opportunities for improvement
  • Advise on incident classification, prioritization, escalation, and resolution processes
  • Support development of recommendations and roadmap for optimized incident management
  • Provide insights on metrics, reporting, and governance for incident management performance

What We Are Looking For

  • Proven expertise in IT Incident Management (minimum 8–10 years relevant experience)
  • Strong knowledge of ITIL best practices and IT Service Management frameworks
  • Experience advising on incident management process improvements in enterprise or public-sector environments
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills
  • Eligible for or currently holding Enhanced Reliability security clearance
