We are currently seeking a Level 1 IT Technician to join a company in the transportation sector located in Lasalle. This is a permanent position, 100% on-site.

Responsibilities:
• Provide daily user support: incident resolution, queue management, request follow-up.
• Diagnose and resolve technical incidents collaboratively.
• Offer proactive technical support and quick solutions to end-users.
• Analyze root causes and ensure complete resolution.
• Escalate complex issues as needed.
• Write and update training manuals for software and equipment.
• Assist in IT onboarding for new employees.
• Document recurring problems and update procedures.
• Manage hardware inventory, assemble/dismantle equipment.
• Log interventions in the ticketing system.
• Stay informed about new IT technologies and trends.
• Perform certain technical tasks outside normal hours (updates, reboots, maintenance).
• Provide multi-skilled support: hardware, software, networks, systems.
Profile:
• Knowledge of Windows systems (PC, servers, network, mobile devices).
• Proficiency in Active Directory and Windows 10.
• Good communication and user relation skills.
• Ability to learn new technologies and troubleshoot confidently.
• Basic support knowledge for laptops and desktops.
• Understanding of desktop applications, printing, and client/server systems.
• Ability to explain technical concepts clearly and manage priorities.
• Bilingual in French and English, spoken and written, due to interactions with North American suppliers.
The use of English is essential for this role because:
- Communication with international clients and partners.
- Collaboration with English-speaking suppliers.
- Drafting reports, proposals, and contracts in English for our global clientele.
