IT General Supervisor

Reporting to the Manager, IT Ontario Operations, you will work within a Global team of professionals and manage Macassa’s local team of IT Professionals. You will facilitate all IT and OT activities at the Mine Site and closer proximity AEM Assets and work closely with business units within the organization to provide effective service delivery, technology solutions, and effective cost management. You will provide design and support guidance related to software, hardware, infrastructure, computing resources, networks, enterprise systems, and process control or automation. Additionally, in conjunction with Regional IT, you will ensure that Macassa aligns AEM Corporate Policy and Guidance for all activities. You will also ensure that the goals and objectives are achieved while promoting and respecting Agnico Eagle’s values, Health & Safety Code of Conduct, and the environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage, develop, and maintain the IT/OT function and technology at Macassa, maintain partnerships with internal AEM Global Support teams and third-party vendors; escalate support requirements and ensure priorities are addressed where required.
• Work closely with AEM Corporate Teams and AEM Regional Teams to enable alignment with governance and standards, policy, cyber security, audit, compliance, and procedures.
• Oversight and accountability of team members to ensure timely and effective service delivery.
• Business process controls as they relate to IT.
• Manage and plan for Macassa IT/OT OPEX and CAPEX costs.
• Manage training, health, and wellness of the on-site IT team.
• Team performance and development management.
• Manage and plan all Health and Safety requirements for the IT/OT Team.
• Comply with all employer instructions relating to health and safety.

Minimum Requirements:

• At least 10 years of IT/OT experience in a Mining or Industrial setting, 5 of which in a leadership role.
• Post-Secondary education in a Technology centric field OR Process Control and Automation background with appropriate IT exposure and experience.
• Project management experience.
• Expert knowledge of information technologies and designing of systems as it relates to the Agnico Eagle portfolio of IT and OT Systems (UNIFI, Cisco, VMware, Cluster PBX, Windows Server, O365, Private LTE, Wireless Communications, etc).
• Experience with reporting tools and visualization platforms.
• Experience in the mining industry would be ideal.
• Excellent working knowledge of all Microsoft Office Suite applications especially Outlook, Excel, Word & PowerPoint.

Your Work Schedule:

• Schedule: 5 days of work, followed by 2 days off or 4 days of work, followed by 3 days off at our Macassa Mine in Kirkland Lake, ON.
