1.5. Job Description

The IT Executive will provide application-side technical support and assist in maintaining and improving the organization’s IT systems and platforms. The role includes overseeing basic system administration, providing user support, ensuring uptime and efficiency of web-based applications, and assisting in the implementation of IT-enabled solutions in line with institutional needs.

1.6. Responsibilities

Key Responsibilities Of The Job Include The Following:

  • Support Application Support and Maintenance - Monitor, maintain, and update web-based platforms and internal applications. Provide backend support to ensure their functionality, performance, and usability.

(ii) User Support and Troubleshooting—Provide prompt resolution to user-reported IT issues. Assist staff with access, software-related errors, basic configurations, and usability concerns.

(iii) Network Software Installation and Configuration—Install, configure, and update commonly used application software and utilities. Ensure appropriate licensing and version control for each deployment.

(iv) Website Backend Operations—Support the upkeep of institutional websites and portals, including content management backend tasks, plugin updates, and upload assistance.

  • Documentation and Reporting—Maintain logs of system updates, incident reports, change history, and user support requests. Assist in documentation for audits and quality assurance.

(vi) Coordination with Vendors/Teams—Liaise with outsourced developers or IT vendors for small-scale development or bug resolution and coordinate routine testing and delivery.

  • Hands-on experience in troubleshooting software and application errors

(ii) Familiarity with Windows/Linux operating systems and application server setups

(iii) Strong understanding of IT ticketing systems and issue tracking tools

(iv) Good communication skills for internal coordination and documentation

1.8. Desirable Qualities

  • Master’s degree (MCA / M.Sc. IT / M.Tech in relevant field)
