What You’ll Do

As a Business Development Manager, you’ll drive revenue growth by identifying and securing new clients through a consultative, solution-focused approach. Your key responsibilities include:

  • Prospect Creatively: Use social media, LinkedIn, cold-calling, email, or innovative methods to connect with potential clients.
  • Build Relationships: Develop and nurture strong, long-term client partnerships while maintaining existing accounts.
  • Deliver Tailored Solutions: Collaborate with clients to understand their IT needs and propose solutions that align with their business goals and budgets.
  • Exceed Sales Targets: Consistently meet or surpass weekly, monthly, and quarterly revenue goals while accurately forecasting opportunities.
  • Stay Ahead of the Curve: Keep up-to-date on Longhurst’s evolving service offerings and educate clients on new products and solutions.
  • Collaborate Seamlessly: Work closely with technical teams to ensure flawless delivery of services and contribute to RFPs.

Who You Are

You’re a proactive, results-driven professional with a passion for technology and people. The ideal candidate brings:

  • Proven Sales Expertise: 8+ years of sales experience, with at least 4 years in the IT industry (solution-based selling is a plus).
  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Business or a Diploma in Business/Commerce(Preferred).
  • Relationship-Building Skills: Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, with experience engaging executive decision-makers and business owners.
  • Tech-Savvy: Proficiency in Office 365, Microsoft Office, social media, and sales platforms like HubSpot (ConnectWise experience is a strong asset).
  • Problem-Solving Mindset: Intuitive ability to address client challenges and adapt to the fast-evolving IT landscape.
  • Negotiation & Organization: Strong negotiation skills, excellent presentation abilities, and a knack for staying organized.
  • Team Player: Thrives in both independent and collaborative settings, with a positive attitude and a drive for long-term success.
