We are seeking a technically proficient and strategic IT Business Analyst Leader II to support initiatives in the Financial Risk domain within the Corporate Functions Technology group. This role will primarily engage with operational risk stakeholders, utilizing advanced analytics, reporting tools, and Microsoft-based technologies. The ideal candidate will bring deep experience in business analysis, strong communication skills, and hands-on technical expertise to drive the success of high-impact data and reporting projects.
Key Responsibilities
- Interact with end users and business stakeholders to gather and understand data and reporting requirements
- Document and analyze business needs and translate them into functional and technical requirements (BRDs)
- Collaborate closely with architects, the data office, and other IT and compliance teams (e.g., AML) to ensure solution alignment
- Work with Microsoft technology stack, including Azure, SQL Server, Power BI, and Power Apps, to help deliver analytics solutions
- Support regulatory and operational reporting, advanced analytics, and business intelligence development
- Provide guidance and support to offshore and junior analysts
- Ensure timely delivery of solutions while adhering to best practices and internal standards
- Communicate effectively across various levels of technical and non-technical stakeholders
Required Qualifications- 4+ years of experience as a business analyst, including direct involvement in IT or data-focused projects
- Proficiency with Microsoft technologies: SQL Server, Microsoft Azure, Power BI, Power Apps, Power Automate
- Hands-on experience with both OLAP and OLTP data systems for analytics and business intelligence
- Proven expertise in requirement gathering, stakeholder engagement, and documentation of Business Requirements
- Strong communication, stakeholder management, and problem-solving abilities
- Excellent organizational and time management skills; adaptable and resourceful in a fast-paced environment
Preferred Qualifications- Familiarity with financial risk, banking, insurance, or retention management domains
- Prior experience in a regulatory reporting or risk analytics role
Certifications- None required, but relevant Microsoft or Business Analysis certifications are a plus
Education- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Mathematics, or a related technical field
