Provide broad range of research, installation, maintenance, configuration, administration and/or provisioning of systems/applications. May also be involved in deployment and release management activities.

Department Overview

Database Technical Services group within Infrastructure & Engineering - Mainframe Delivery is responsible for Support, Design, Build, Test and Deploy of Mainframe Database and Transaction Manager systems. We also provide consultation services with Architects and application developers on application design and functions that is related to IMS, DB2, CICS, WAS z/OS and z/OS Connect infrastructure.

Job Description/Accountabilities

This job posting is for a CICS System Programmer. The successful candidate will be involved in planning, analysis, design, building, testing, consulting and implementation on CICS related projects.

• Maintain CICS infrastructure on the z/OS platform
• Support CICS related products
• Support CICS application developers
• Contributor for CICS usage, futures, and direction at the Bank
  
  

Specific Educational Requirements/Accreditations

College / University or equivalent work experience of 2-3 years

Other Qualifications/Skills/Experience

• Solid fundamentals on Computing and Database Concepts
• Solid fundamentals with one or more programming languages
• Knowledge/Completion of IBM Z Xplore Program - attaining Concepts Badge
• Solid problem-solving skills
• Good written and verbal communication skills
• The successful candidate must be a self-starter, team player, and able to collaborate positively with other departments
