Job summary

Sun Life Financial is seeking an IT Audit Manager in North America who will lead complex technology-related audits within Internal Audit. You will supervise audit teams, assess IT projects, and develop testing strategies to strengthen controls and risk management in a dynamic environment.

The role requires strong data analytics, COSO knowledge, and experience in a Big Four or large firm, with a degree in IT/Engineering/Accounting and professional designations (CPA/CISA etc.).

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Engineering, Accountancy, or related field with IT audit designation (CPA/CIA/CISA); CISSP/CISM preferred.
• At least 5 years of IT auditing and data analytics experience in a client-facing, matrix, project-based organization (Big Four or large firm experience preferred).
• Combined business and technology experience; Big Four experience highly preferred.
• Proficient in internal auditing, governance, risk & controls, data analytics, technology and digital; COSO framework knowledge essential.

Responsibilities

• Supervises other audit managers or auditors on projects and coaches staff.
• Understands the company’s technology strategy, operations, and regulatory environment to identify technology risks.
• Develops testing strategies and reporting for systems, delivery, and IT operations; uses automated methods like CAATs.
