Job summary

The Office of the Auditor General of Canada is seeking an IT Audit Director to lead audit operation teams responsible for core financial and IT audits. As Director, you will report to a principal and ensure audit quality, manage staff, and drive IT general control audits in complex environments.

Based in Ottawa with occasional travel, this indeterminate role requires security clearance and a strong track record in delivering timely, high-quality audits across Crown corporations and government

Qualifications

• Seven to ten years of IT and systems audit experience including planning, conducting and reporting financial and IT audits.
• At least three consecutive years in a management role at director level.
• Significant experience managing teams testing/relying on controls in IT environments (SAP, Oracle, Windows, Linux, Mainframe, AWS, Azure).
• Experience building effective working relationships with internal and external stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Lead audit operation teams delivering core audits (performance, financial or special examinations).
• Supervise staff, ensure audit quality and compliance with standards and OAG policies.
• Drive IT general control audits and support special examinations of Crown corporations and performance audits.
