Job description

POSITION OVERVIEW

The IT Asset Management analyst will be responsible for maintaining, managing, and optimizing the Kruger asset management platform, ensuring the efficient purchase and renewal of software, hardware, and services. The role also involves supporting continuous improvement initiatives.

REPORTING RELATIONSHIPS

  • This position reports to the Manager, Infrastructure Services.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Vendor Management / Hardware Standards

  • Maintain regular communication with hardware vendor (HP) for hardware replacement planning.
  • Act as the intermediary for all Kruger IT site coordinators to maximize hardware standardization while addressing legitimate business needs.
  • Oversee equipment lifecycle, considering factors like durability, performance, security, and reliability to support a 4-year lifecycle.

Procurement

  • Manage the centralized procurement process.
  • Coordinate with IT site managers to handle procurement requests and consolidate into monthly orders.
  • Maintain dialogue with vendors, manage service levels, and ensure contract obligations are met, including countersignatures and other actions.
  • Maintain and enforce a standardized hardware/software catalog and compliance across sites.

IT Asset Management

  • Keep accurate records of lease schedules, serial numbers, and documentation in SharePoint.
  • Work with hardware service providers to resolve issues related to lost or stolen equipment and document exceptions appropriately.
  • Conduct regular inventory checks in Intune and ServiceNow to validate assets and resolve discrepancies.
  • Use Intune, SCCM, and SNOW to generate management reports.

Other

  • Contribute to projects and continuous improvement efforts.
  • Collaborate effectively with team members across the Support & Run organization.
  • Drive initiatives to streamline processes and explore new ways of working.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor’s degree in information technology, computer science, or a related field, or equivalent work experience.

EXPERIENCE

  • At least 5 years of experience in IT asset management, focusing on software, hardware, and service purchasing and renewals.
  • Experience with ITIL framework and best practices.
  • Knowledge of IT service management and expense tools and practices.
  • Familiarity with Asset Life Cycle Management, onboarding, and offboarding processes.

SKILLS AND ABILITIES

  • Strong expertise in Intel and AMD x86/x64 architectures for hardware decision-making.
  • Technical proficiency in ServiceNow and related IT systems.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills to interpret complex data and generate insights.
  • Effective communication skills, both verbal and written, for technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Ability to work collaboratively within a team and build strong stakeholder relationships.

LANGUAGES

  • Bilingual in French and English.
