Qualifications

A Day in the Life

We are currently looking for a dynamic and experienced IT Asset & Licensing Analyst to join our firm-wide IT department. This position is responsible for managing all hardware and software assets, ensuring the efficient use of resources and cost-effectiveness. This role will be an important part of Fasken’s overall strategy and will establish an asset management process (ITAM) to provide up-to-date information to reduce risks and optimize costs.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to :

  • Oversee the entire lifecycle of IT assets, from acquisition to disposal, as well as manage contract and agreement renewals to ensure optimal value.
  • Maintain an accurate inventory of all hardware and software assets.
  • Track and manage the lifecycle of assets, including acquisition, deployment, maintenance, and disposal.
  • Analyze software and service contracts and act as the point person for invoice management
  • Provide regular reports to application & system owners on upcoming license and maintenance renewals
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with key vendors and suppliers
  • Identify and implement strategies to reduce costs and improve efficiency in asset utilization.
  • Applying FinOps best practices to monitor and analyze cloud environments and create recommendations based on budget, best practices, timelines, and goals
  • Develop and enforce policies and procedures for asset management.
  • Ensure compliance with legal and regulatory requirements related to IT assets.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in information technology, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • Proven experience in asset management, preferably within a law firm or corporate environment.

Compensation
