IT Analyst, Retail Systems

Type of employment: Permanent, Full Time (40 hours)

THE ROLE

This position serves as a key technical resource for support and issue resolution related to Couche-Tard/Circle K retail systems. It provides expert-level assistance for systems used across convenience stores, fuel operations, and food service—including payment platforms and loyalty programs. The role ensures solutions align with cross-functional business needs and adhere to established IT processes. It also offers escalation support to the Couche-Tard/Circle K Service Desk and collaborates closely with internal teams and external vendors. Additionally, the role supports a variety of project-related activities as needed.

WHAT YOU’LL DO

  • Participate as a dedicated support resource for projects of varying complexity.
  • Provide expert-level technical support for Circle K retail systems and business partners
  • Provide expert-level incident resolution for escalated issues.
  • Delivers assignments and project deliverables within specified time frames, adhering to established standards and guidelines individually and as a member of a team
  • Engages with internal customers, vendors, peers, and management teams to understand issues, and to provide updates and status.
  • Works with others to facilitate completion of assignments\projects on time
  • Assists with creating or enhancing documentation
  • Performs other job duties as required

WHAT YOU’LL NEED

Education:

  • BAC in IT field or equivalent combination of education and experience-based learning

Experience:

  • 3 or more years of experience\knowledge in support of Retail Systems
  • Experience with PDI (Back Office), Radiant POS, and\or Bulloch POS solutions (an asset)
  • Experience with various Payment Acceptance solutions/devices (an asset)
  • Experience with virtualized retail environments (an asset)

Knowledge and skills:

  • Excellent analytical, organizational and customer service skills; must be detail oriented with an ability to meet deadlines with limited supervision.
  • Follows IT standard protocol for change\release management
  • Requires good communication skills as well as team participation
  • Must be able to interact with Management and team in a remote work environment
  • Positive attitude
  • Ability to read and listen, and communicate effectively to various audiences, orally and written
  • Ability to process information, including gathering, interpreting, assessing, organizing, and verifying data and material problems with computer hardware and software.
  • Ability to effectively research, analyze and evaluate information to make decisions, solve problems and achieve goals.


Language skills:

  • Bilingualism required (Advanced French and English) both spoken and written, as the person will be required to work and communicate regularly in English while performing the tasks outlined above. Specifically, the role requires collaboration with global teams.
