Overview
Job Title: Agile Coach
Location: Toronto, ON (Onsite)
Duration: 6 + Months
Daily Responsibilities
- Hands-on coaching of teams to improve Agile maturity, collaboration, and delivery.
- Hands-on experience implementing Scrum, Kanban, Scaled Agile practices
- Proficiency in running daily stand-ups, sprint planning, retrospectives, and backlog refinement sessions.
- Guiding teams in self-organization and cross-functionality
- Mentoring Scrum Masters, Product Owners, and team members to excel in their roles
- Designing and facilitating Agile workshops, training sessions, and boot camps.
- Guiding teams and stakeholders to make informed, consensus-driven decisions.
- Collaborating with stakeholders to align Agile practices with business goals.
- Aligning team-level Agile practices with program and portfolio-level objectives.
Must Have Skills
- CSM and SAFe certifications
- Proven experience as an Agile Coach or similar role in software development
- Exceptional communication and facilitation skills to guide, influence, and inspire others in the adoption of Agile practices.
- Effective problem-solving skills to identify, analyze and rectify any hurdles or issues impeding the Agile implementation.
- Strong leadership and team building skills to foster a collaborative and high-performing Agile environment.
- Experience with Agile techniques such as User Stories, Continuous Integration, ATDD, TDD, Continuous Testing, Pairing, Automated Testing, Agile Games
- Excellent knowledge of Scrum techniques and artifacts (such as definition of done, user stories, automated testing, backlog refinement)
Nice to have skills
- Certifications such as Certified ScrumMaster (CSM), Certified Scrum Professional (CSP), or Certified Agile Coach (CAC).
- Strong project management skills, including planning, organizing, and managing resources to bring about the successful completion of specific project goals and objectives.
