A leading company is seeking an ISP Technician to install and maintain cabling systems for business clients. The role requires expertise in fiber optic and copper cabling, along with strong communication skills. The technician will work both indoors and outdoors, ensuring safety and efficiency while interacting with clients.
Employment Status : $20 - $26 Hourly (Non-exempt)
Primary Location : Ontario, CA
We will determine salary based on skills and experience in relation to the function of the role, as well as equity to any other employees in the same or similar role.
Job Summary :
The ISP Technician installs, maintains, troubleshoots, and repairs ISP cabling. An ISP Technician must be able to install single-mode and multimode fiber optic cabling and category 5e / 6 / 6A copper cabling for business clients. This includes mechanical terminations with Uni-cam, Fast-cam, or likewise type connectors. Tasks include installing data and voice cable systems, raceway, conduit, racks, cabinets, cable suspension hardware, and other cable-related equipment. Other duties may include drilling / coring of walls and floors, cable placement and termination, setting ground cables, installing equipment, and troubleshooting any problems with the cable system. To ensure success as an ISP Technician, you should have a mid-high-level knowledge of low voltage systems and cable technology. You should be able to work in cramped spaces, and at heights, and interact with clients in a friendly and professional manner.
