Role Overview

As an Ironworker, you will be an integral part of the Ledcor Industrial team. Safety and quality are priorities, and you will take pride in your work at the end of each day.

Wage & Benefits

Wage: $52.53 per hour; overtime rates apply after 8 hours/day at 1.5 times the wage rate (as per existing collective agreement).

Benefits Package: Benefits (as per existing collective agreement with CLAC) including extended health coverage, dental, optical, prescription drug plan, short-term & long-term disability, life insurance, accidental death & disability coverage, and emergency travel.

Essential Responsibilities

1. Erect steel to complete structural steel structures, pre-assemble panelization, bridges, and gangways
2. Read blueprints, drawings, and specifications to correctly erect structures
3. Previous experience with layout, man lifts in congested areas, and connecting mods is considered an asset
4. Rigging and heavy lift experience: working with construction cranes, derricks, and other hoisting equipment
5. Ensure work is completed within deadlines
6. Communicate work progress and safety performance to site supervision
7. Support project requirements with flexibility in duties

Qualifications

1. Must possess a Journeyperson structural or generalist certificate from a recognized provincial training authority
2. Previous experience in an industrial or live plant setting required
3. Strong communication skills and a team player attitude
4. Successful completion of pre-access drug and alcohol testing

Work Conditions

1. 14 days on and 7 days off rotational shift working 10-hour days
2. Working at heights
