Wage

$52.53 per hour; overtime rates apply after 8 hours/day at 1.5 times the wage rate (as per existing collective agreement).

Location of work

Fort McMurray, Alberta

Essential Responsibilities:

1. Erect steel to complete structural steel structures, pre-assemble panelization, bridges, and gangways
2. Read blueprints, drawings, and specifications to correctly erect structures
3. Experience with layout, man lifts in congested areas, and connecting mods is an asset
4. Rigging and heavy lift experience: working with construction cranes, derricks, and other hoisting equipment
5. Ensure work is completed within deadlines
6. Communicate work progress and safety performance to site supervision
7. Support project requirements with flexibility in duties

Qualifications:

1. Must possess a Journeyperson structural or generalist certificate from a recognized provincial training authority
2. Experience in an industrial or live plant setting required
3. Strong communication and team player attitude
4. Successful completion of pre-access drug and alcohol testing

Work Conditions:

1. 14 days on and 7 days off rotational shift, 10-hour days
