Wage

$52.53 per hour; overtime rates apply after 8 hours/day at 1.5 times wage rate (as per existing collective agreement).

Benefits Package

Location of work

Fort McMurray, Alberta

Essential Responsibilities:

• Erect steel to complete structural steel structures, pre-assemble panelization, bridges, and gangways
• Read blueprints, drawings, and specifications to correctly erect structures
• Experience with layout, man lifts in congested areas, and connecting mods is an asset
• Rigging and heavy lift experience: working with construction cranes, derricks, and hoisting equipment
• Ensure work is completed within deadlines
• Communicate work progress and safety performance to site supervision
• Support project requirements with flexible duties

Qualifications:

• Must possess a Journeyperson structural or generalist certificate from a recognized provincial training authority
• Experience in an industrial or live plant setting required
• Strong communication and team player attitude
• Complete pre-access drug and alcohol testing successfully

Work Conditions:

• 14 days on and 7 days off rotational shift, 10-hour days
• Working at heights
• Camp-based accommodations provided for non-local candidates

• Travel arrangements are the responsibility of candidates; flights are NOT provided, but a travel allowance is available for non-locals
