Qualifications

Position Overview

Aecon Construction Solutions Inc. (ACSI) offers civil, electrical, and mechanical services. We seek exceptional craft candidates committed to safety and our 'zero injury' culture. The role involves fabricating structural steel, ornamental work, and pre-cast structures, requiring understanding of structural techniques, blueprint reading, and safety commitment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Read blueprints and specifications.
  • Unload, stack, and hoist steel members.
  • Erect scaffolding, cranes, derricks, and rigging.
  • Assemble and install steel and metal structures.
  • Work alongside welders and mentor apprentices.

Requirements and Experience

  • Valid Provincial Journeyperson Ticket or in an apprenticeship program (union cards not accepted).
  • CSTS-20 Certificate, Fall Protection, Mobile Elevated Work Platform certifications.
  • Criminal Record Check, Drug & Alcohol pre-access testing.
  • Experience in industrial construction as an Ironworker.
  • Ability to lift up to 25kg, work in all weather, and follow safety procedures.

Project Details

Project: BHP Wet Mill SMPEI

Rate: $34.30 to $49.00/hr; Overtime per collective agreement; Schedule: 14/7; Camp provided; Travel allowances based on residence.
