Job Details
  • Title/NOC: Ironworker (NOC/TEER 72105010)
  • Term: 2 years (project-based, time-limited)
  • Number of Positions: 100
  • Language of Work: English
  • Wage: $51.00/hour (subject to change per collective agreement with CLAC)
  • Schedule: 14 days on 7 days off or 5 days on 2 days off, 10 hours per day
  • Overtime: 1.5x rate after 8 hours/day
  • Benefits: Extended health, dental, optical, prescription drugs, disability, life insurance, and travel coverage (per collective agreement with CLAC)
  • Work Locations: Edmonton and area, Fort McMurray, Saskatchewan, British Columbia

Essential Responsibilities
  • Steel erection for structural steel buildings and panelization
  • Bolt-up and impacting
  • Study blueprints, drawings, and specifications
  • Position steel units, align holes, insert temporary bolts, and check alignments
  • Heavy lift, rigging, and setting of building modules
  • Ensure safety of crew, equipment, and environment
  • Complete work during regular hours
Qualifications
  • Journeyperson Structural Ironworker certification with Red Seal
  • Minimum five years of experience on large industrial projects
  • Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Successful completion of pre-access drug and alcohol testing
