Job summary

Tacten Industrial Inc is seeking experienced Journeyperson Pipefitters with IRATA Rope Access certification for our Cenovus Lloydminster site in Alberta. This Regular Full Time role at Cenovus Lloydminster AB involves 4/10 rotations, Monday to Thursday, performing installation, maintenance, safety, and collaboration with multiple trades.

Ideal candidates hold Journeyman Pipefitter certification and IRATA Level 1 (or are willing to obtain).

Qualifications

• Journeyman Pipefitting Certification is required.
• IRATA Level 1 required, or willingness to obtain.

Responsibilities

• Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and isometric drawings.
• Assemble and install piping systems per specifications.
• Measure, cut, thread, and bend pipes using various tools.
• Install supports, valves and other control equipment.
• Inspect, troubleshoot and repair piping systems to maintain integrity.
• Maintain a clean and safe work area and adhere to safety protocols.
• Collaborate with other trades and mentors to apprentices.

Tacten is seeking experienced, energetic, and safety-focused Journeyperson Pipefitters with IRATA Rope Access certification to support our client site at Cenovus Lloydminster, AB. This is an exciting opportunity to join Tacten’s growing Rope Access division and work in a dynamic industrial environment.

• Installation and Assembly
  • Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and isometric drawings.
  • Assemble and install piping systems and related equipment following specifications.
  • Measure, cut, thread, and bend pipes using various tools and equipment.
  • Install supports, valves, and other control equipment.
• Maintenance and Repair
  • Inspect, troubleshoot, and repair piping systems.
  • Perform regular maintenance to ensure system integrity and performance.
  • Replace defective or worn components as necessary.
• Safety and Compliance
  • Adhere to all safety protocols and procedures to ensure a safe working environment.
  • Ensure work is performed in compliance with relevant building codes, standards, and regulations.
  • Maintain a clean and organized work area.
• Collaboration and Communication
  • Work collaboratively with other trades, contractors, and team members.
  • Communicate effectively with supervisors and project managers regarding project status and any issues encountered.
  • Provide guidance and mentorship to apprentices and less experienced pipefitters.

Position Requirements

Journeyman Pipefitting Certification Required

IRATA Level 1 required, or willingness to obtain.

Safety Certifications

CSTS/OSSA or OSSA BSO or OSSA CSO

CSE/M (Confined Space and Monitor and Entry)

ESC Fall Protection an asset
