We’re seeking an Inspector, Incoming Quality Control (IQC), for a 12-month contract. This role involves sampling, inspecting, and releasing incoming packaging components and labels, ensuring compliance with SOPs, GMP, and company policies. A keen eye for detail and a strong commitment to quality are essential.

Job Responsibilities

• Perform inspections and sampling of incoming packaging components and labels to verify quality and compliance.
• Review and verify supplier documentation for accuracy and completeness.
• Inspect components for damage, contamination, correct labeling, etc., adhering to SOPs.
• Conduct testing and verify results against specifications.
• Record inspection and testing results following proper documentation practices.
• Release packaging components as per procedures.
• Initiate non-conformance reports and follow up on corrective actions.
• Maintain documentation and prepare reports on sampling, inspections, and non-conformance issues.
• Operate and maintain laboratory instruments used for testing.
• Maintain inventory of reference samples and ensure laboratory supplies are stocked.
• Execute test protocols and technical procedures as required.
• Prioritize sampling and inspections to meet production demands.
• Communicate professionally with internal and external customers, resolving non-conformance issues.
• Prepare technical reports as needed.
• Adhere to GMP, GDP, and Health & Safety policies, reporting hazards or incidents.
• Provide guidance or training to new employees.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Job Requirements

• Minimum 1 year of experience in a GMP-regulated environment.
• Post-secondary education (college diploma or university degree) preferred.
• Experience with computerized systems or ERP/WMS software (e.g., Syspro, SAP) is an asset.
