Qualifications

Join our team as an IPAC Coordinator!

The IPAC Coordinator is accountable and responsible for providing infection and prevention control expertise and leadership in the implementation of program initiatives and deliverables; developing, implementing, monitoring, and evaluating infection control programs as well as building capacity internally and externally to detect and manage infection prevention and control (IPAC) issues while serving the needs of residents, families, and colleagues.

Qualifications:
  1. Current Certificate of Registration with the College of Nurses of Ontario preferred.
  2. Certification through IPAC Canada preferred.
  3. 1 year experience in Long Term Care (Gerontology) preferred.
  4. 2 years of relevant infection prevention and control related experience with a comprehensive understanding of IPAC practices and program service delivery.
  5. Demonstrated skills in program planning, implementation, evaluation, and ability to contribute to continuous quality improvement in relation to infection prevention and control.
  6. Ability to conduct effective infection risk assessments, problem solving, and conflict resolution to respond to issues with tact, diplomacy, and professionalism.
  7. Must demonstrate an active interest in ongoing education.
  8. Must be computer literate.
  9. Must demonstrate strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
