IoT Project Engineer (Woodlands)(Machine Vision & Smart Machines)

We are looking for an IoT Project Engineer to coordinate our IoT projects, set up hardware for our projects, test our machines, devices, and in-house developed cloud software/apps, and to manage and deliver our projects to clients.

As IoT Project Engineer, you will play an important role in deploying our solutions onsite, ensuring our machines are well maintained, client complaints are addressed and onsite repairs are performed properly.

We are a regional team specialising in software development, systems integration and machine development.

With offices in Singapore, Johor and Hanoi, we build solutions for multinational enterprises including: Ministry of Home Affairs, Parliament, Lenovo, Unilever, Compass Group, ISS, Sodexo, amongst others.

Job Scope:

• PROJECT MANAGEMENT: Coordination of tasks for IoT projects, ensuring operational and business requirements for each project are planned out and taken care of, including liaising with clients and suppliers and teammates to ensure successful execution of projects.
• ONSITE DEPLOYMENT & MAINTENANCE: Install and configure hardware and software for new projects, assist in periodical preventive and corrective maintenance, spare part control.
• LEVEL 2 & 3 CLIENT SUPPORT: Provide remote support to end users, troubleshooting and technical support via Whatsapp, video call, email and timely documentation & tracking of all requests and outstanding issues.
• TESTING & TROUBLESHOOTING: Testing of Android apps and Cloud software developed by our programmers, identifying software bugs and escalating bugs to our developers to resolve and update.

Requirements:

• You MUST have key skills we are looking for - please only apply if you have at least 2 out of 4 skills
• IT Hardware experience - tablets, power supplies, routers, networking
• Software configuration - desktop applications and cloud solutions
• Electrical and Electronic Skills - Voltage testing, Wire stripping, soldering, Multimeter usage
• Basic Handtools skills - drills, screwdrivers, socket wrenches

Qualifications:

• Diploma or Degree in Engineering, Electronics or Information Technology related fields a must.
• Strong & deep interest and passion in hardware and software systems a must.
• Hands-on experience with setup and configuration of different types of computer hardware & IT Devices.
• Keen interest and curiosity in machines, IT devices, and technology in general.
