On-site – Toronto, ON Full-time Posted February 1, 2026
$110,000 – $150,000 CAD
About the Role
We're hiring an experienced iOS developer to build native applications for our clients. You'll take ownership of iOS projects from architecture through App Store submission, working with product managers and backend engineers to deliver polished, performant apps that people actually want to use.
You'll work on a variety of client projects — fintech apps with strict regulatory requirements, enterprise tools that internal teams rely on daily, and consumer-facing products with high design standards. Each project comes with its own constraints, but the bar is consistent: pixel-perfect UI, sub-second cold starts, frictionless accessibility, and code that the next engineer can pick up without hand-holding.
You'll join a small mobile team that takes craft seriously. We use modern Swift Concurrency end-to-end, SwiftUI for new screens (UIKit only when SwiftUI can't do it yet), and TCA or MVVM depending on the project's needs. You'll have a strong voice in architecture decisions and full ownership of the iOS layer on the projects you lead.
What You'll Do
- Build native iOS applications from architecture through App Store submission and post-launch iteration
- Translate Figma designs into pixel-accurate SwiftUI views with full accessibility support (Dynamic Type, VoiceOver)
- Integrate with REST and WebSocket APIs using URLSession and modern Swift Concurrency (async/await)
- Implement local persistence using Core Data, SwiftData, or GRDB depending on project requirements
- Build and maintain reusable view components and Swift packages across our internal iOS toolkit
- Handle the full App Store release lifecycle — certificates, provisioning, App Store Connect, phased rollouts
- Profile and optimize app performance — cold start, memory usage, scroll performance, energy impact
- Implement push notifications (APNs), deep linking, App Clips, and Live Activities where applicable
- Write comprehensive unit and UI tests using XCTest and snapshot testing where appropriate
- Participate actively in code reviews, design discussions, and post-incident reviews
What We're Looking For
- 3+ years of native iOS development with shipped apps in production
- Strong proficiency in Swift and SwiftUI with deep understanding of the Swift type system
- Hands-on experience with Combine or Swift Concurrency (async/await, structured concurrency)
- Multiple apps published on the App Store — verifiable during the interview
- Solid understanding of iOS design patterns (MVVM, TCA, or VIPER) and when to use each
- Experience with REST API integration, JSON handling, and local data persistence
- Working knowledge of Apple Human Interface Guidelines and iOS accessibility best practices
- Strong written communication — you'd be authoring docs and reviewing PRs daily
Bonus Points
- watchOS or iPadOS development experience with a published app or feature
- ARKit, RealityKit, or CoreML integration experience
- StoreKit 2 experience for in-app purchases and subscriptions
- Open-source contributions in the Swift / iOS ecosystem
