Job description

Vault is a non-bank private mortgage lending company with a progressive and friendly work environment focused on growth. We are seeking a dedicated Investor Relations officer to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will either possess a Dealing Representative (EMD) license or be willing to obtain one.

The role involves overseeing the administrative processes of a mutual fund trust and other investment products. With the appropriate licensing, responsibilities include onboarding and managing investor clients. The environment is professional, fast-paced, and values attention to detail and strong time management skills.

Job Responsibilities:
  1. Administrative:
    • Manage the administrative aspects of a mutual fund trust.
    • Ensure investor files are complete and organized.
    • Pre-populate subscription documents.
    • Track investor cash flows.
    • Coordinate with team members, investors, and dealers.
    • Implement policy and procedure changes in compliance with legislation.
    • Collaborate with fund administrators and trustees to complete transactions.
    • Follow up with third-party service providers.
    • Allocate funds according to investor preferences and capital needs.
    • Investigate discrepancies and non-compliance issues.
    • Complete fund closing procedures promptly.
    • Prepare periodic reports as required.
    • Work with the President to ensure operational efficiency and regulatory compliance.
    • Participate in training and cross-training as needed.
    • Perform other administrative duties as assigned.
  2. Licensed Activities (if licensed):
    • Meet with potential investor clients.
    • Onboard new investors, including KYC assessments.
    • Collect and update documentation, including AML and KYC requirements.
    • Handle SEDAR filings for exempt markets.
    • Update client records.
    • Perform other regulated activities as assigned.

  • Strong communication skills, both written and oral.

  • Dealing Representative (EMD) license or willingness to obtain one.
  • University degree or equivalent.
  • Financial services experience is an asset.
